The desk phone rings during a full dinner service while the waiter carries two plates. The AI Calling mark lights up, four calls are answered at once, and a booking for Saturday at 8:30 PM fills in by itself while the waiter keeps serving.
How many bookings rang out during your last Friday service?
Two couples arrive at the door for the same table, while a notebook, a direct message and a voicemail each hold a different booking. On the tablet they become one list fed by Google Maps and Instagram, and each couple is shown to its own table.
Do you know tonight's covers without opening three apps?
Three delivery tablets beep on the pass while Chef retypes an order by hand. The orders flow into one kitchen screen with a timer on each ticket, and the rider collects the right bag on time.
How many tablets beep on your counter right now?
A paper ticket slips off the pass and flutters away. Then the owner types the order at the window table, it appears on the kitchen screen at once, and the right tart arrives at a smiling table.
When did a lost ticket last cost you a table?
The paper temperature sheet on the kitchen wall is full of blanks when an inspector arrives. Chef reads the fridge and logs it on the wall tablet, a padlock seals the entry, and the inspector reads the history and shakes his hand.
If an inspector walked in today, would your records be ready?
A guest at table six points at the tart and the waiter has to say it is gone. Chef marks the tart sold out once and it changes on the guest menu, the waiter handheld and the delivery app, so the guest chooses another dish.
How often do you say sorry for a dish that is gone?
An empty room on a Tuesday afternoon. A local food creator matched to the restaurant photographs her dish and scans its creator code, with brief, offer and contract already ticked; her post flies out and the room fills up.
What did your last influencer post bring through the door?
At 11 PM the owner falls asleep over her phone at an empty table while unanswered messages pile up. A week of posts is scheduled, and at sunrise the post goes out by itself and the hearts come in.
When did your restaurant last post on Instagram?
A regular cannot find her paper stamp card and turns towards the place next door. The owner holds out a code, her phone fills a stamp card with its tenth stamp, and her coffee is on the house.
Where is your regulars' stamp card right now?
The owner is buried in eight screens and logins at the desk. The eight product marks fly into one ring, the team shares a glass at the pass, and the lights go off early.
